Learning Intervention

Supporting children and young people to build confidence, develop essential skills, and experience a genuine sense of mastery in their learning.

What is Learning Intervention? Emotional coaching for families

Learning intervention is a targeted, evidence-informed approach to supporting children and young people who are finding aspects of their learning challenging. At Farmer & Co., our learning intervention program brings together educational expertise with a deep understanding of neurodivergence, mental health, and wellbeing.

The result is a warm, structured, and genuinely enjoyable experience that helps students feel capable, supported, and proud of their progress.

Who can benefit? Children and young people experiencing learning challenges
    • Difficulties with reading, writing, spelling, or mathematics
    • Neurodivergent learning profiles including dyslexia, ADHD, and autism
    • Anxiety, school refusal, or demand avoidance impacting learning
    • Low confidence or self-esteem around academic performance
    • Gaps in foundational skills following illness, disruption, or school transitions
    • Emotional or cognitive barriers to engagement at school
How we practice at Farmer & Co Strengths-first, family-centred

We begin with a clear picture of each learner\'s strengths, challenges, and developmental needs, which may include targeted assessments across literacy and numeracy. Families receive a concise, practical report along with a tailored intervention plan outlining specific goals and strategies. Support can involve 1:1 sessions with the student, parent coaching, or a combination of both.

Helping students feel capable, supported, and proud of their progress — every step of the way.
